PICU – Pediatric intensive care unit, is a separate section in a hospital that offers treatment and intensive care for sick children who need extra care. PICU is equipped with modern medical equipment that allows intensive care with continuous monitoring. PICU at Apple is a 10 beded facility for children of upto 18 years of age. Our PICU also has “Isolation room” for infectious disease patients children with complicated illness like liver failure, Kidney failure, severe pneumonia, brain haemorrhage and cancer are treated here. We have delivered consistently excellent result in seriously ill children.

PICU of apple is probably the busiest in Ahmedabad, receiving referrals from large part of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

Dr.Kosha Sheth is a trained pediatric cardiac Intensivist, only one in Ahmedabad, serves at Apple. She worked for 5 years in Escorts Heart Hospital, New Delhi as an attending consultant in pediatric cardiac intensive care. Then she was an Assistant Professor for 5 years at U N Mehta Hospital in department of pediatric cardiology.

Dr. Ankur Kothari is a Pediatric Intensivist and Nephrologist working full time at Apple Children Hospital. He has done his nephrology training from Bangaluru. Under his expert care we do Hemodialysis, Peritonial dialysis and Plasmapheresis. Apple is the only Pediatric Hospital in Ahmedabad where in house renal replacement therapies are available.

Dr. Parag Dagli is also a Pediatric Intensivist but his special interests are in Pediatric Bronchoscopy. He got trained in Bronchoscopy at Singapore, PGI Chandigarh and Chennai. He performs flexible as well as rigid bronchoscopy, and possesses rich experience into it.

Dr. Abhishek Bansal has interest in Pediatric intensive care and Neonatalogy. He has done his fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care from Pune and then he did advance training in Neonatalogy from Sydney, Australia. Now is a full time intensivist at Apple and takes care of Newborns and Pediatric Patients.
